The Alexander Technique has now been taught in the UK for over 100 years. It is a unique form of learning which can be applied to the way you go about all your daily activities. It includes posture, movement, breathing, and provides tools which help you to exercise more choice in how you react in all kinds of situations. We typically go through our lives doing things in an automatic, habitual way. We tend not to spend much time thinking about how we are doing them. So we develop habits - for example, of being tense and having a tight neck and shoulders, or we might slump as we sit at our desks and so our back muscles are misused. |

The Alexander Technique can be learned by anyone at any age from 10 years upwards. It can help people from all walks of life and also people with many different conditions. It promotes a calming effect on the nervous system, a release of tension in the muscles and enables you to breathe with more ease. Lessons make you feel lighter, taller and springier.
